                                                                                                                           September 28, 2008

Yesterday,  September 27, 2008, the cheer dance competition happened at Miriam College High School covered court. It is a requirement for all first year college students for their physical education department. All sections were divided into five batches. We were one of the sections at batch two. We are section twelve and we were the last to perform from our batch. During the announcement, when we heard the other sections to be called to be fourth, third, second, and first runner-ups, we screamed out. Then the announcer called section twelve to be the champion so we were very happy because we really worked hard for it and almost all of us got sick because of the practices. So it's all worth it.
A number of us, even I, got food poisoned, we still had energy for this competition. We are the champions! congratulations sections 12 and 2!

It's my birthday!c:

Tenth of September, Two thousand and eight

It's my seventeenth birthday.c: I enjoyed it and had a lot of fun even if I am still spending it at school. We had a lot of school works today like recitation, quiz, and other stuffs. But my friends make me happy. I am thankful of having them and my family as well.

Last two weeks was hectic for we didn't have our weekend. We went at Muntinlupa for our exposure trip at Common Prisoners at Bilibid last weekend. Last week was our alternative week and we were required to be present at our school from Monday to Thursday. We went at GMA to watch Mel&Joey for our English class.

Now, we have a lot of academic stuffs to do, so we're really rushing.

But now, I'm enjoying my day, and I'd still.c:

I'm loving this week!c:

Even this week is the extension of the prelims week, I still have fun on this days. There were no problems this week. I went to my brother's house at Makati during the weekend and I played with my loving nephew! c: I really had fun.

Even though there had been a lot of school works, I still enjoy it so much. It's Rachel's 18th birthday yesterday (Aug 13), and she'll celebrate it tomorrow and we are very excited. we are really preparing for it. But I have a problem myself, I don't know how to go home. We'll just see tomorro

I love this week and I'm looking forward of loving the succeeding days more!

What a day!!!

It's thursday! What a long day! It's been a different day. Anyway, we had our prelims at our College Algebra subject. I wasn't able to finish the last number! :c Pray for me that I'll pass. Thanks!
And then, we also practiced for our cheerdance competition. It was fun but definitely harder than math! It's just not really my talent. For our CWTS class, we did a role playing. But I was just really tired of everything because all the same thing happens to me. Well, I know you can't relate on this, but only my friends. That's why I got too sensitive, anyway, I'm realy hating today.

But I know tommorow's another day and we'll have our prelims on English. Goodluck blockmates!

A reflection of the book, “The Road Less Travelled” in relation in my life

The Road Less Travelled written by M. Scott Peck was one of the books I had read for my English class. When I started reading it, I was somehow interested but I also got tired and bored of it afterwards. It was a book discussing about different aspects in love. It has no story that’s why I didn’t like it that much in the beginning. But after a few days not reading it, I again gained a cause to read the last section. It is because my block mates talk a lot about it. There are actually four sections of the book, Discipline, Love, Religion and Spiritual Growth, and Grace.

I liked all the sections especially when the author talks about his experiences and the cases of his patients. On the first section, he wrote that there are four principles to gain self-discipline. These are delaying gratification, acceptance of responsibility, definition of truth, and balancing. On the section of Love, he emphasized the difference of falling in love, and loving someone genuinely. Falling in love is not love. While loving someone genuinely is effortful and extending one’s self to another. The section of Religion and Spiritual Growth says that spiritual growth needs full of effort and a lot of time in order to obtain. Cases of different persons like Kathy were also written on this section. And on the last section, the Grace, it says that grace is given to all of us just that sometimes, we regret it. Serendipity says that grace is a gift for all even if we don’t ask for it. Schronicity is when an event happens at or almost at the same time in different people. The section of Grace also shows that the original sin is laziness and that all of us are lazy even if we don’t notice it. Our unconscious mind is wiser than we are because what our conscious mind doesn’t want to take, it gives us and informs us. Alpha and Omega was also discussed on this section because God is the beginning with whom he made us and He is also the end because our evolution would end on God. There are still a lot of topics discussed on the book, not only these things I’ve mentioned.

Now, I regret the days I haven’t read it because it gives a lot of information to me and to other readers. It is a really amazing book and as same as its author to be able to write and understand this matters of life. By the way, the author is a great psychologist from the west and I make sure that all of the cases he shared from this book would really relate on one or more of the events on our life. If you guys want to learn and be inspired about life, I suggest, recommend, and tell you to start looking for this book, The Road Less Travelled by M. Scoot Peck.

A great weekend!

It was such a fun weekend! I really enjoyed it. Although it was a busy and tiring one, I really became happy. Last friday, after class, I and my friend went to gateway and we saw seven of our friends back on high school. I also bought ingredients for my gift for my best friend. We rode on a bus because it was really hard to find a jeep which can accomodate us during that time. At home, I made my gift for my best friend and then we went to their house and slept over there.

On Saturday, which is really her birthday, we cooked spaghetti and invited some more of our friends. We went at Robinsons Metro East and played ang sang at TimeZone. And then we again rode the bus to go back to their house and eat. I really missed them and I had a great time with them.

Im really looking forward of having an extremely great week now.

so tired!!

Tiring! That's my life nowadays. Last week was really a busy one because of our Psychology homework which is to interview licensed psychologists. it was terribly difficult! Then last Friday, my friends and I went at A.Venue Hall at Makati because we watched the competition of MC Pep Squad and CCAT with different universities. I slept at my brother's house in Makati and I had fun because I played with my nephew. I went home last Sunday after then a despedida for my lola and a prayer for the death of her sister occured in our house until evening. Now I am starting to be pressured again because of the requirements for this week. I hope i can do it all!

it's been a busy week

June 23, 2008

Last week, we went to the wake until 9pm. Then last saturday, our family bacame complete because my niece and nephew together with my brother and his wife went to our house. it was also the last night of my grandmother before she would be buried. Last Sunday, even if there was typhoon, my grandmother was still buried at Loyola.

It's been a tiring week!

June 18, 2008

I've been busy all day. But it's fun when I and my batch mates get to see each other. We
also saw our high school teachers and our school. I know I'll be used with college life. I can do it in five years! Goodbye! Take care guys!

it's saturday!

June 14, 2008

It's the first rest day after the first week of the college life. I love it!

But bad news keep coming. My grandmother died this afternoon. Too bad. I hadn't got the chance to visit her while she was sick. I really feel so guilty. But I'll make sure I'll be on her wake. It will be 10pm at St. Paul's Parish Church. You like to come?

Tomorrow's Father's Day but I can't think of anything to give to my Dad. Help!!!

    Okay. That's it for today!

third college day.

June 12, 2008

I really felt it tougher than yesterday. I'm so tired. I just don't feel good today. Anyway, I had fun because my friend, Patty and I went to the Ice Cream Store at Concepcion. It's not cheap. Haha! But ice creams were terrific there. Then we saw our batch mates from our high school while we were there. That's why I can't get over my high school life yet. But I'm also starting to like college but not yet loving it. Hope I could do it soon. That's it for today!

starting my journey in college...

June 11, 2008

It's my second day of being a college student! We have met our professors and I think they are nice and I wish they will stay the same until the end of the semester. My classmates and new friends are nice too! And comparing the friends I have during the first day, I gained more friends than today.

But with no hesitation, I miss my highschool life. I miss my friends because even if some of them studies at Miriam College too, we can't find time to see each other because of our different schedules. I should begin learning how to adjust to the world where I am in now - a world a lot different from where I am used to. And I know as early as now, college is more though.

Now, I'm really looking forward of having a great semester and fun five years of being a BSA student with my friends, professors and my Alma Mater. I hope studying will be full of fun and excitement!

Good luck!
